This is the first YouTube income Google has released

Alphabet's company, Google, reported nearly $ 5 billion in revenue from advertising in the fourth quarter of YouTube, Alphabet said. This is the first Google release.

This is the first time a reporter has published on YouTube as a Google-owned platform in nearly 15 years. Google bought YouTube in 2006 for $ 1.65 billion.

On an annual basis, Google says that YouTube earned $ 15 billion last year and contributed about 10 percent of all Google revenue. These figures make YouTube's advertising business about a fifth of the size of Facebook and six times larger than Amazon-owned Twitch.

Google separately states that YouTube's premium (ad-free YouTube) and music premiums have more than 20 million subscribers, while its TV service has more than 2 million subscribers.

Alphabet says revenue from these products is bundled in other categories, which made $ 5.3 billion last quarter, and also includes hardware like Pixel phones and Google home speakers.

Overall, Alphabet made $ 46 billion in revenue as of December 2, which is 17% more than the year before, and has averaged about $ 10.7 billion, according to the company.
